Growth Status: (by websites quantity): Increasing
HostOnNet.com is an Indian hosting company founded long ago and it looks like the provider offers its services for more than a decade (shared plans added only recently), however, an interesting thing is there is very little information about it.
HostOnNet aspires for “a new alternative in hosting”. They also claim that their servers “are connected via 10/100
Well, as of our data, they are not.

4 Shared hosting plans are currently on offer.
The nicest thing here is really, and we mean it, really cheap 3-year plans for shared hosting. Here is good value for money, especially if you know about all basic offers for shared hostings being pretty much the same (no matter the provider).
Unfortunately, everyone has faults, and the first one here is the absence of any monthly options – none at all. If you sign up, it’s for a year at least (and better for 2 or 3). Another drawback – no money-back guarantee. Some points get taken here.
They do not go bragging about tons of additional features. However, they offer domain names and web design and maintenance option if you need one.
Shared hosting offer appeared only in 2015, before that the company was mostly focused on resellers, which is also worth a note.
Compared to the design they used to have for many years, the new one is also pretty laconic (which is good) but far more up-to-date (which is even better).
Support
Instant Technical Live Support: No
We had no personal experience with this hosting, and it was natural to be slightly suspicious about relatively small and unknown provider which would not reveal its contact page easily.
HostOnNet offers phone (mobile and landline) and e-mail (tech and billings) for support. They also have a ticket system for their customers, which is a good thing, provided that it is efficient.
Their Live Chat is not super-fast, it’s not in a hurry (a 7-minute wait) but it offers tech support.
But we also had such experience.
Report for 2018
- Not the best result in 2018m, we have to conclude. #162 and 3.7 HRank only. Here we would like to say that sometimes smaller companies have better offers than large and famous ones but, unfortunately, this is not to be the case.
- Their average statistics for uptime was ~97% with slight fluctuations and cases of 88% (in November) and 96% downtime. If they tried to “ensure optimal network performance” but didn’t quite succeed. On their website they write about 99.9% standard uptime expectations, however, our monitoring results show that they, in fact, did worse: 99.756% average in 2018. So, some points
taken . - Their average response time was not bad taking into consideration frequent spikes during the monitoring period. 500-600ms might not be optimum speed in its general sense, however, the responses from the domains on Shared IPs was without deviations.
- All this, perhaps, can explain the increasing trend observed on the Sites chart: both Shared IPs and website numbers grew. 88% November case of downtime coincided with the sharp fall of websites as well. The numbers restored afterwards. Perhaps, some customers left unsatisfied but some new came as HostOnNet.com is also
real cheap.
